ADB SAFEGATE recently released its latest innovative product - PAPI Connect with LINC Node module. This system aims to completely transform the way airports monitor and manage the Precision Approach Descent Indicator (PAPI). This plan is an important component of its Airside 4.0 strategy. Through a data-driven approach, it enhances the safety, maintenance efficiency and sustainability at the runway end.
PAPI is a key visual navigation device that assists pilots in maintaining the correct descent Angle during landing. By integrating LINC Node, the PAPI system can achieve remote monitoring, data analysis and full life cycle management, enabling airports to proactively carry out maintenance intervention before potential faults affect flights.
The modular design of LINC Node enables rapid installation. The deployment time for each PAPI box is less than 30 minutes. Even existing systems can be upgraded quickly, minimizing operational disruptions to the greatest extent.
This plan adheres to the three core principles of "connection, collection and prediction", enabling airports to digitally connect critical infrastructure, collect performance data in real time, predict and prevent potential problems. Its advantages include:
• Enhance security: Real-time monitoring to detect risks in advance
• Reduce operation and maintenance costs: Early warning reduces downtime due to faults
• Optimize maintenance efficiency: Automatic alerts help prioritize work
• Support green development: Reduce energy consumption more efficiently
Corey Stutz, Director of market Segmentation at ADB SAFEGATE, said: "Whether it's a small regional airport or an international hub, the combination of PAPI Connect and LINC Node not only addresses the current operational pain points but also lays the runway for the future digital and interconnected airport ecosystem."
