PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. has completed the acquisition of London-based Airbase GSE Ltd and Airbase GSE GmbH, marking a significant expansion of its global repair and maintenance network.
Airbase GSE specializes in air cargo ULD repair, logistics services, and cabin maintenance at major hubs such as London’s Heathrow Airport and Frankfurt Airport. With over three decades of experience, the company operates from an 80,000-square-foot facility, offering comprehensive services including repair, modification, overhaul, inspection, testing, and storage of ULDs.
Dan Bucaro, President and CEO of PrimeFlight, highlighted the strategic importance of the acquisition: “This move extends our established GSE maintenance network, already one of the largest in North America, into Europe. Airbase GSE’s strong customer relationships and commitment to service quality align perfectly with our vision.”
PrimeFlight’s diverse portfolio includes subsidiaries such as Skytanking, PrimeFlight GSE Maintenance, PrimeFlight Cargo, and Garsite, providing services ranging from ground handling and cargo operations to deicing and aviation fuel management. The acquisition of Airbase GSE enhances PrimeFlight’s ULD repair capabilities, complementing its existing services at over 75 airports across North America.
Nick Payne, CEO of Airbase GSE, who will continue to lead the business post-acquisition, expressed confidence in the partnership: “Our foundation has always been exceptional customer service and quality. Under PrimeFlight’s ownership, we aim to build on this legacy, combining our strengths to deliver industry-leading solutions.”
During the integration phase, Airbase GSE will retain its current brand before transitioning to operate under the PrimeFlight name. This acquisition underscores PrimeFlight’s commitment to expanding its global footprint and enhancing service offerings in the aviation industry.
