Munich, Germany – Inter Airport Europe 2025 concluded successfully on October 9, cementing its role as a pivotal global gathering for the aviation ground services sector. Among the key participants was AEME GSE, a leading GSE supplier from the Asia-Pacific region, which seized the opportunity to showcase its comprehensive Green Airport Solution and its flagship product, the EcoTug 90/180.
The EcoTug is a mobile battery-powered ground power unit (eGPU) that represents the cutting edge of AEME GSE's innovation. It integrates industry-leading LFP battery technology with advanced power electronics to deliver higher efficiency and more reliable performance for aircraft, directly addressing the aviation industry's pressing need for decarbonization.
"The demand for sustainable ground support equipment is experiencing robust growth," stated Yu Zhao, Head of Global Marketing at AEME GSE. "The EcoTug is our answer, born from two decades of R&D expertise, patented technologies, and a mature supply chain."
Safety remains a paramount concern for airport operations. To that end, the EcoTug is equipped with a comprehensive Battery Management System enabling real-time monitoring and multi-level automatic fire protection, ensuring adaptability and exceptional safety across diverse operational scenarios.
As an innovation-driven company, AEME GSE has a proven track record. Following the introduction of its first mobile GPU in 2017, it pioneered the S400 model with proprietary LVRTech (Low-Voltage Ride-Through) technology—a major breakthrough for airport power stability. Today, over a thousand of its CE-certified units are deployed at major international aviation hubs globally.
"Green transition is evolving into a key competitive advantage for airports," Zhao added. "Leveraging our extensive experience, we are committed to enhancing the reliability, sustainability, and safety of ground power. We plan to expand global collaboration to accelerate performance and carbon reduction breakthroughs in airport ground operations."
