Aviator Airport Alliance (Aviator) has entered into a multi-year agreement with Norwegian, Scandinavia’s second-largest airline, to provide comprehensive ground handling services at Helsinki Airport (HEL) in Finland.
The contract, which will be executed by Aviator’s subsidiary Aviator Airport Services Finland, covers a total of 4,115 turnarounds per year. Service frequency will range from 56 weekly turnarounds in winter to 96 per week in summer. Aviator will deliver a full suite of handling services, including passenger and ramp handling, as well as de-icing operations.
Norwegian currently operates 26 routes from Helsinki to destinations across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. In recent years, the airline has steadily expanded its Finnish network, responding to growing leisure and business travel demand and reinforcing Helsinki’s position as a key Nordic hub.
Kimmo Holopainen, Managing Director of Aviator Finland, commented: “Winning this contract with Norwegian marks a major milestone for our operations in Helsinki and strengthens our leading position in the competitive ground handling market. Norwegian is a leading European carrier expanding its presence in Finland, and we are proud to support this growth. Our dedicated team will deliver the high standards of quality and reliability that Aviator is known for throughout the Nordics.”
Mira Linnamaa, Norwegian’s Communications and Public Affairs Director in Finland, added: “We are pleased to partner with Aviator at Helsinki Airport. Their demonstrated expertise and commitment to operational excellence will help us continue providing a smooth and reliable travel experience for our customers in Finland.”
