BGS has renewed its cooperation with Wizz Air, with the expanded partnership covering fuelling services at Tallinn, Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports—where BGS will continue to support the airline’s flight operations. The new agreement builds on a long-standing relationship that dates back to 2011, when the two companies first signed fuel supply contracts.
Over the years, the partnership has evolved in tandem with Wizz Air’s expanding footprint in the Baltic region. In recent years, the airline has further developed its network out of Lithuania, introducing new routes from Vilnius to key destinations such as Tallinn, Helsinki and Paris.
“Our long-term collaboration with Wizz Air is a testament to the consistency and reliability of our services across multiple locations,” commented Vitalis Dudys, BGS Group Head of Commerce. “We deeply value partnerships that grow and mature over time, and we are delighted to continue supporting Wizz Air’s operational expansion as it extends its network in the region.”
Wizz Air emphasized that the extended agreement highlights the critical role of stable ground handling partnerships in sustaining efficient operations amid the airline’s Baltic network growth.
“We are pleased to continue and further enhance our cooperation with BGS across several Baltic airports,” said Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air. “The Baltic region is a key market for Wizz Air, with over 24 routes operated from Lithuania, a fleet of three based aircraft in the country, and nine routes from Tallinn. Reliable fuelling services are vital to maintaining our operational efficiency, and having a trusted partner like BGS is crucial to supporting our ongoing growth in this region.”
