The partnership between DIMOS and Budapest Airport launched in 2024, with DIMOS initially supplying castor decks along with supplementary mobile and stationary equipment. As the system provider, DIMOS is in charge of equipment planning, retrofitting and integration into ongoing airport operations. At the Budapest hub, it integrates truck docks and castor decks with customised system components to streamline cargo flows between the landside and airside.
Building on the first phase—where existing systems were analysed, expanded and commissioned—the second phase will kick off in summer 2026 to boost capacity using current infrastructure. DIMOS offers a full suite of services covering consulting, concept and layout design, construction planning and supervision, installation, commissioning and continuous support. Its single-source provision of mechanics, controls and maintenance minimises interfaces and simplifies project implementation.
DIMOS Managing Director Pascal Schütz stated that combining fixed truck dock systems with mobile conveyor solutions like the Pallet Mover and castor decks ensures reliable operation amid fluctuating loads and scalable capacity. The upcoming second phase will expand the site, integrating more truck docks, castor decks and specialised components to add ULD capacity, shorten processing times and support consistent 24/7 cargo operations.
