Hensel Phelps has been chosen by the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) to deliver Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the Concourse A Reconstruction Project at Nashville International Airport (BNA).
This award represents the company’s fourth major project at BNA under the airport’s New Horizon program—a comprehensive, long-term initiative designed to support Middle Tennessee’s continued growth. Since 2018, Hensel Phelps has been a key contributor to the transformation of BNA into a modern, world-class airport.
The Concourse A redevelopment will involve demolishing the current six-gate concourse and the former International Arrivals Facility, and constructing a new 16-gate Concourse A, along with expanding the North ticketing and baggage claim areas on the landside.
Design is anticipated to conclude in May 2025, with construction set to begin in the summer of 2025. The project is slated for completion in mid-2028.
Clif Fesler, General Manager at Hensel Phelps, stated, “We are proud to continue our partnership with MNAA and contribute to the BNA New Horizon program. This project holds special significance for our Nashville team, as BNA is a vital asset that will serve our community and families for decades to come.”
Hensel Phelps is currently executing the BNA Concourse D Extension, expected to finish in July 2025, and recently delivered the BNA Terminal Lobby and International Arrivals Facility, which began operations on September 25, 2023.
