NAHCO has clinched two significant long-term ground handling contracts, partnering with Afrijet and Air Sierra Leone to bolster its service footprint in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
Under the terms of the agreements, NAHCO will provide dedicated ground handling services for Afrijet’s flights operating between Port Harcourt and Lagos. This partnership is set to run for three years, extending through to 2027. Meanwhile, Air Sierra Leone has inked a five-year contract with NAHCO, entrusting the company with ground handling support at Lagos airport until 2029.
Commenting on the new partnerships, Prince Saheed Lasisi, Group Executive Director of Commercial & Business Development at NAHCO, emphasized the company’s industry-leading standards. “Our team of seasoned professionals has consistently set the benchmark for ground handling operations across Nigeria,” he stated. Lasisi also assured Afrijet and Air Sierra Leone that they had made an optimal decision, adding that the airlines could look forward to a seamless and high-quality service experience.
Olumuyiwa Olumekun, Group Managing Director and CEO of NAHCO, echoed this sentiment, underscoring the centrality of service quality to the company’s operations. “We spare no effort to ensure our valued clients have absolutely no cause for complaint,” he noted. “Our commitment to excellence in ground handling is a long-term priority, and we are fully equipped to maintain our market-leading position.”
For NAHCO, these new contracts mark a major stride toward its strategic goal of covering nearly all ground operations for international flights arriving in and departing from Nigeria, reinforcing its standing as a key player in the country’s aviation logistics landscape.
