Menzies Aviation has selected Nallian's truck access management (TVM) solution, aiming to achieve the digitalization and standardization transformation of its ground-side freight business. This collaboration will be carried out in a phased manner, with the initial deployment of the TVM system to be implemented at five major freight sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Prague and San Francisco - these sites handle a combined annual freight volume of over 500,000 tons.
The TVM solution will cover the entire process from pre-notification of appointment slots, digital registration, to yard scheduling and terminal allocation. Through digitalized appointment scheduling and yard management, Menzies Aviation is expected to shorten truck turnaround times, enhance yard safety, and achieve quantifiable cost savings in manpower and efficiency, while reducing queuing phenomena and process variations, providing a more predictable service experience for freight agents, trucking companies and drivers.
Furthermore, this TVM system will be integrated with Menzies' aviation freight handling (MACH) cloud platform - the MACH platform is a freight management tool developed by Menzies in collaboration with Wipro. This integration will connect the data links between the warehouse and the yard, enabling real-time collaboration. It is reported that the deployment of the TVM solution is an important part of Menzies' overall strategy, with the core goal being to enhance the operational efficiency, safety and customer experience of the global freight network.
The partnership between the two parties was announced publicly at the ASA World Leadership Forum held in Copenhagen this week through a formal signing ceremony. For Menzies, Executive Chairman Hassan El-Houry and Freight Executive Vice President Beau Paine attended the ceremony; for Nallian, CEO Jean Verheyen and Chief Commercial Officer Lionel van der Walt participated together to witness the launch of the cooperation.
Menzies' Aviation Freight Executive Vice President Beau Paine said: "As our freight business expands globally on a scale, both the airside and groundside operations need to have unified, data-driven operational capabilities, which is of crucial importance. Deploying Nallian's TVM solution at key sites will help us shorten truck stay times, stabilize business peaks, and provide customers with a faster and more predictable service. The native integration with the MACH platform is not only a practical step in our digitalization process but also lays the foundation for the widespread promotion of the solution."
Nallian's CEO Jean Verheyen pointed out: "We are honored to support Menzies Aviation with a mature solution, helping it achieve the collaborative optimization of ground-side processes. Starting with focused pilot deployments in multiple regions, it can quickly deliver value and also create a replicable model, paving the way for the subsequent global-scale promotion of the solution. And the deep integration with the MACH platform will enable unified data management and process control from the yard to the warehouse."
