Safeport has once again demonstrated its expertise in handling the iconic Airbus A380, marking the second occasion it has provided comprehensive ground support for the world’s largest commercial aircraft at Beja Airport. This latest engagement follows the company’s historic first involvement in 2018, when it assisted Hi Fly’s Airbus A380 (registration 9H-MIP).
The Airbus A380 in question, operated by Global Airlines and ferried by Hi Fly, touched down in Beja after departing from Dresden, Germany. From the moment the aircraft arrived, Safeport’s dedicated team took charge of all critical ground handling services, leaving no detail to chance.
The scope of Safeport’s services encompassed a full suite of ground operations, including the provision of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), aircraft towing, potable water replenishment, lavatory waste disposal, thorough aircraft cleaning, and end-to-end airport logistics coordination. This all-encompassing support ensured the seamless handling of the massive aircraft throughout its stay at Beja.
