SAASA took delivery of two TPX-200MTX towbarless tractors from TLD on Friday, 20 June, marking the completion of the first batch of airport ground support equipment (GSE) — including 25 GSE units and 25 pallet carrier dollies.
The handover forms part of the airport’s wider annual GSE investment initiative.
Commenting on the milestone, Enrique Vargas, General Manager of SAASA, stated: “This investment underscores our commitment to operational safety and cutting-edge technology adoption. The new fleet, featuring loaders and motorised ladders equipped with advanced telemetry systems and approach sensors, will substantially enhance safety standards throughout aircraft ground operations.”
