Draxon’s VR training modules have secured official IATA accreditation, granting the company the authority to supply its solutions to airlines and ground handling operators globally.
In recent years, IATA has rolled out a series of ramp safety training modules, and the organization is now expanding its approved vendor ecosystem to enrich its training offerings. Julius Baumann, IATA’s Assistant Director of Corporate Communication, noted, “We keep growing our portfolio by onboarding more vendors and modules. Gaining access to active airport airside areas for training has always posed significant challenges—from securing equipment and training access clearances to allocating sufficient time for structured learning, all of which demand meticulous planning and close collaboration with every key stakeholder.” He emphasized the transformative value of VR technology in addressing these pain points, adding, “VR delivers cost-efficient training alternatives that ease trainee pressure and completely eliminate the safety risks inherent to live operational environments.”
For Draxon, the accreditation marks a historic milestone: the company is now the world’s first and only provider to hold this IATA certification for VR training modules. Paul Schwarzenholz, Founder and Managing Director of Draxon, stated, “This achievement is a defining moment for our company. It not only validates the superior quality of our VR training solutions but also reflects the wider technological evolution taking place across the aviation ground operations industry.”
