Munich Airport's subsidiary, AeroGround, has cemented its partnership with Lufthansa by signing a new long-term ground handling agreement. The contract, effective retroactively from November 1, 2024, through October 31, 2031, ensures the continuation of a wide range of services including aircraft and baggage handling, freight transport, and passenger transport.
The agreement reinforces the "system partnership" between the two companies, a relationship highlighted by Munich Airport CEO Jost Lammers as "the basis for a strong future for the Munich hub."
For Lufthansa, the contract is key to operational stability. "AeroGround is an important partner for us in ensuring stable flight operations," said Heiko Reitz, Lufthansa Hub Manager Munich. "The punctuality and regularity of our flights contribute significantly to customer satisfaction and our goal of providing a first-class travel experience."
David Konradi, Managing Director of AeroGround, emphasized the agreement's significance for the company and its employees, calling it the "stable backbone of our business activities" and a major contributor to job security. He extended a heartfelt thank you to all involved, especially the employees who ensure stable operations.
