Under the agreement, dnata will provide Silk Way Group with bi-weekly cargo flight support services, handling an estimated annual freight volume of over 15,000 tons, including general cargo, temperature-sensitive goods, and various specialized shipments. This collaboration further strengthens dnata's position as a key service provider at Singapore’s regional cargo hub.
Tom Alwyn-Jones, Managing Director of dnata Singapore Airport Operations, said the agreement fully reflects dnata's operational strength in Singapore and its ability to support cargo airlines within an efficient, well-coordinated hub environment. He emphasized that the company will focus on "delivering consistent, reliable ground operations," ensuring seamless integration of aircraft turnarounds, cargo handling, and service standards.
Silk Way West Airlines Chief Operating Officer Onno Pietersma noted that with dnata's ground support, the company will have greater confidence in maintaining high operational standards. Currently, dnata handles an average annual cargo volume of approximately 250,000 tons in Singapore, demonstrating its strong local operational scale and industry expertise.
