The scope of the maintenance agreement encompasses dnata’s Automatic Cargo Handling System (ACHS), Pallet Cargo Handling System (PCHS), as well as the mechanical systems within its cool and perishable cargo terminals. Notably, the contract also covers the first material handling system Lödige installed in Asia back in 1979—a long-serving facility that is currently undergoing an upgrade to meet evolving operational demands.
Sam Gould, Head of Cargo at dnata Singapore, underscored the value of the partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with Lödige Industries is the ideal choice. Beyond their profound expertise and experience in the field, their ability to understand our specific needs and consistently deliver reliable services sets them apart.”
Ranga Jayaweera, General Manager for Singapore at Lödige Industries, added perspective on the maintenance and upgrade strategy, commenting, “In this instance, maintaining the core functionality of these high-quality systems while enhancing them through targeted upgrades to address new challenges represents the most effective solution. We are delighted to extend our support for dnata’s operations in Singapore once again.”
This latest contract builds on a long-standing partnership between the two companies in Singapore. Lödige has previously upgraded dnata’s perishable cargo centre and implemented an Elevated Transfer Vehicle (ETV) system for the logistics provider in the city-state.
Their collaboration extends far beyond Singapore’s borders, too. Lödige has supported dnata with cargo terminal upgrade projects at major international airports including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, London Heathrow, and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. At London Heathrow, the company successfully delivered dnata City East Phase Two. Meanwhile, at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Lödige is supplying equipment for dnata’s new cargo terminal, which is scheduled to open its doors later this year.
