Hungary Airlines has rolled out scheduled cargo services connecting Budapest and Hong Kong, deploying Airbus A330F freighters with a payload capacity of 62 tonnes per flight.
To streamline its operations in Hong Kong, the carrier has selected Hactl as its cargo handling partner, availing itself of the latter’s one-stop-shop service package. This comprehensive solution covers end-to-end ground operations, including cargo terminal management, aircraft loading and unloading, and full documentation support.
The new Budapest-Hong Kong route capitalizes on Budapest’s rising status as an e-commerce hub, positioning the flights as a critical air bridge linking Greater China and Europe. Looking ahead, Hungary Airlines has laid out ambitious expansion plans: as it grows its fleet size, the carrier intends to extend its service network to include destinations in the USA and the Middle East.
Wilson Kwong, Chief Executive of Hactl, commented on the partnership: “We are delighted to welcome Hungary Airlines to the Hactl carrier family. Their new cargo services not only boost our global connectivity but also align perfectly with our strategic focus on e-commerce logistics. We are fully committed to supporting Hungary Airlines in building and growing its presence as a specialist in the e-commerce cargo sector.”
