North America’s first fully electric aircraft catering truck, the CT6000E, was unveiled in Boston at a ceremony with Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, State Representative Adrian Madaro and Boston City Councillor Gabriela Coletta-Zopata in attendance. Operated by catering firm DO & CO, the groundbreaking vehicle is a collaborative effort between Mallaghan and International Motors, featuring an all-electric powertrain that achieves zero tailpipe emissions, reduces noise pollution and supports GSE carbon footprint reduction goals.
Equipped with cutting-edge technologies to boost efficiency and safety, the CT6000E boasts an advanced aircraft-controlled approach system to minimize aircraft damage, a 360-degree Birds Eye camera system with on-board hard drive, and on-board telemetry. Mallaghan’s Chief Commercial Officer Joe Griffith noted that the truck reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, aiding partners in pursuing greener, safer and more efficient operations.
International Motors’ Vice President of Customer Insights and Experience Debbie Shust hailed the collaboration, stating the launch demonstrates the value of purposeful cooperation in helping customers meet goals.
