Textron GSE has launched the Premier TT4000 tanker truck, a high-performance aviation ground support solution. With a 4,000-gallon capacity and advanced pumping systems, it minimizes de-icer downtime, boosts productivity, and ensures on-time passenger and cargo departures.
The TT4000 features a specialized tank setup: two linked 1,500-gallon de-icing fluid tanks and a 1,000-gallon anti-ice fluid tank, enabling refueling of up to three de-icers per trip to streamline operations. All tanks are made of 12-gauge A304 stainless steel (engineered for glycol use), ensuring durability in harsh aviation environments.
Its pumping systems enable rapid refueling: the hydraulically driven Gorman Rupp centrifugal de-icing pump delivers 200 gallons per minute at 25 PSI, refilling a de-icer in just 10 minutes. The anti-ice pump is a self-priming positive displacement diaphragm pump, transferring 75 gallons per minute for consistent performance.
Safety and convenience are prioritized with separate 25-foot hoses for de-icing/anti-icing, mounted on reels with 12-volt retraction—simplifying management, reducing hazards, and ensuring secure storage.
Built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis and powered by a turbocharged six-cylinder Cummins L9 diesel engine, it balances power and efficiency. For ramp safety, top speed is limited to 30 mph.
Morgan Gresens, Textron GSE VP and General Manager, noted: “The TT4000 offers customers a safe, reliable and efficient way to boost ramp productivity, cut de-icer downtime, and keep passengers and cargo on schedule.”
