The European low-cost airline giant Wizz Air has renewed its partnership agreement with the Aviator Airport Alliance. The aviation ground service partnership between the two in Sweden and Denmark will be further extended. After this renewal, Aviator will continue to provide passenger services, apron operations, and deicing services for Wizz Air. The service coverage includes 1,800 flights operated by Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft each year by the latter.
From a regional division perspective, the cooperation at Copenhagen Airport in Denmark mainly focuses on flights from Wizz Air to destinations such as Budapest, Belgrade, Gdansk, Warsaw, and Bucharest; while the services in the Swedish market are evenly distributed across Gothenburg and Malmö airports, supporting 1,500 flight take-offs and landings each year. It is worth noting that the partnership between Wizz Air and Aviator began in 2015. The signing of this new contract has extended the partnership between the two to 12 years, becoming a typical example of long-term and stable cooperation in the aviation service sector.
Jo Alex Tanem, the CEO of Aviator Airport Alliance, expressed pride over this long-term partnership: "In today's highly competitive market environment, the fact that our collaboration with Wizz Air has lasted for ten years is truly remarkable. As a major airline, Wizz Air operates 800 routes across Europe and other regions, connecting to nearly 200 destinations. To be able to participate in its development and contribute to its success is something we are extremely honored to do."
The ground operations manager of Wizz Air, Grzegorz Michalec, emphasized the core value of the partnership: "The development of modern aviation relies on the quality of services in every aspect. And Aviator consistently demonstrates a high level of responsibility and dedication. We have complete confidence that this productive cooperation will continue to advance over the next three years and beyond."
